Alright so blogger, unfortunately, has been down for at least a day. So our many attempts to post for the past couple days have been interrupted. This was on wednesday here in Bangkok. We decided to use tickets that were sold to us together with the grand palace tickets. If you want to see the grand palace then you had to buy the ticket for both it and entrance to the Vimanek mansion. This is the mansion where the king of thailand used to live. It is pretty big but not as nice as you would expect for being a kings house. So any way here is our journey to the Vimanek Mansion.

It started out by traveling by taking the sky train to the river.
We then waited by the river for a while for our boat

After the boat ride we had to cross over the river and walk for about 2 miles
So about 5 years ago this used to be the King of Thailand's house. Now it is a museum. We took a tour through this building by a lady who supposedly spoke english. It was about as hard for us to understand her english as it was to understand Thai. The house had a ton of fairly small rooms and a couple medium sized ones. I was expecting large, spacious rooms everywhere, but no. The kings trophy room was kind of cool, lots of elephant tusks. This mansion was right in the middle of urban Bangkok but had huge, pretty grounds with a river and tons of trees and grass.
