For any of you out there who may be concerned about our well being (Mom and Mom), we made it! We just barely got to our hotel after over 24 hours of travel.

And just FYI, it is 12:43 PM on Saturday, May 7. How crazy is that?!

A few things that will be interesting this trip:

1. Thai's drive on the left side of the road. This could present a few problems for our scooter escapades.

2. Walt tends to be selective with his food choices. No explanation needed. Rightly So!

3. We know one word in Thai - and it seems that there are less english-speaking population than we were expecting... woops.

And no joke, it took us 4 different people pronouncing this word to us, accompanied by some very intense hand motions, namely bowing. Walt has bowed at least 17 times in the past 10 minutes. Kind of cute. Kind of funny. Honestly, I can't even remember how to say it. The word is "thank you," just if you were wondering. We thought it would be smart to take care of our manners first. Who cares about the vocab for our safety, allergies, and/or directions. I'm sure we'll manage just fine.

Pre-Departure. Sky Harbor Airport. That's right people, you are witnessing my lightest pack job ever. Walt just informed me that it is his lightest packing job as well. One month in one duffle. Boo yah.

We were greeted at the hotel with chilled towels soaked in green tea, (I guess for putting on your neck to cool yourself down? If not it felt good anyway) a bracelet made of jasmine flowers that smelled SO good, and plenty of cheery thai folk.

I decided to make sure that I would fit in the bathtub. Turns out it is plenty big.
